Villa Del Mar St Martin. If there were a villa in St. Martin ideally suited for a family vacation or group trip, it would have to be Villa Del Mar. Set on a hill and looking down on the highly coveted Anse Marcel beach and cove, it provides excellent views of the marina and the surrounding tropical growth. It is just a short distance from the equally popular Orient Beach as well as Grand Case.

The scenery will provide a wonderful backdrop to the impressive amenities that fill the property, and make it such an ideal getaway. The interior of the home is light and airy, using a pale palette and lots of traditional Caribbean furnishings and decor. A great room off of the gourmet kitchen features an entertainment center and living room along with a formal dining table. This shared living space faces out to the covered terrace where another al fresco dining table is found along with the barbecue. There are lounge spaces here, and these all lead to the elegant swimming pool at the heart of the villa.

This is designed in a unique and decorative way and separates one of the five bedrooms from the rest of the villa, connecting it with a charming bridge to the main terrace. This bedroom features a separate living room of its own along with a terrace that wraps the bungalow styled structure. All of the bedrooms are en suite, and one has been especially designed to accommodate kids by offering bunk beds, video games and a DVD library that is sure to entertain them when they are not outdoors enjoying the pool and surrounding grounds.

If you are on the hunt for an ideal spot to escape with your family or a large group of friends, the Villa Del Mar is the answer. Large, spacious, and complete in itself, it is also close to the best beaches and will be a spot you yearn to revisit again and again.

In April 2010, St Martin Blue had the pleasure of staying and inspecting villa Del Mar for a splendid 3 day retreat. Villa Del Mar is an impressive villa on the heights above Anse Marcel offering wonderful views of the new Radisson hotel, the marina and the quaint and peaceful cove of Anse Marcel. Anse Marcel is a serene and sought after area on St Martin for those seeking a placid hamlet that also offers access to a calm beach, restaurants and a marina for St Martin excursions and boating.

Villa Del Mar is a popular five bedroom villa that is perfect for families. The well planned villa offers four bedrooms all with interior access in the main house with a separate master suite in a separate building. The air conditioned bedrooms offer three king beds, one queen bed and four built in bunk style beds that the children of our group marveled about and shrieked with joy upon laying eyes on their new playground and quarters. A truly sensational feature of the villa.

The general layout of the hillside villa is that guests enter the gated driveway and may park their St Martin rental car at the bottom of the driveway or on the incline of the driveway (be sure to turn the wheel and apply the emergency brake). As guests ascend the stairs they are greeted by the stone laid pool deck and kidney shaped pool along with the two building structure of the villa.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. St. Martin Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, St. Martin Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, St. Martin Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.
In the near future, we expect to accept a greater variety of payment methods and currencies via Stripe.
Is housekeeping included? click to open
Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Staff section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.

Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.
Are toiletries and tissues provided? click to open
A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
Is a hair dryer available? click to open
A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.
Is an iron included? click to open
Typically yes, irons tend to be standard equipment for vacation homes. Please ask the property representative upon orientation for the location of the iron.

Maximum guests:

Maximum guests for cocktail event: 80 guests
Maximum guests for a seated dinner event: 40 guests

Rental rates:
The villa can be rented for a 24 hour period. Rates are as follows.

High Season Event Fee:  $5000

Low Season Event Fee: $5000

Refundable security deposit: $3000

*If the guest is renting the villa for a weekly stay, the event fee is reduced by 50%.

Terms and conditions:
All rates are quoted in US$ and are subject to an 8% Government Tax & Service.  They include the private use of the villa for a 24 hour period for the function set up, the event itself and the clean up afterwards.  They also include the services of the villa staff and all utilities (electricity, water, gas). 
Accommodation and villa staff gratuities are not included.  It is the responsibility of the guests and their event planner to arrange to have furniture removed, stored and returned to enable the event to take place at the villa.
