St Martin Deep Sea Fishing

Our St Maarten 3/4 Day or Full Day Fishing Charter is an Off-Shore adventure for the serious angler. This tour offers a 7.5 hour or 9.5 hour trip, departing from our marina in Cole Bay. Because Sint Maarten enjoys diverse ocean geography we can enjoy the best of all worlds. Whether you like to fish deep, shallow, on the surface, or on the bottom, we are spoiled for choice. Just off-shore we have several productive shoals and wrecks to go after smaller reef species. Just 3 miles off-shore we are in deep water where we can go after larger pelagic species, either by trolling or drift fishing. On our off-shore charter, there are several productive fishing grounds ranging from 10 to 20 miles off the coast of Sint Maarten.

You catch it, you can keep it! You keep as much of your catch as you can responsibly use. Our crew is happy to clean and prepare your catch for you at the end of the day.

We provide all the fishing gear you will need but you are free to bring your own if that is what you feel comfortable with. You might also want to bring a towel and your swimwear as we often stop for a quick swim on a nice beach before heading back to port.

The Boat

Our boat, Blu Bi U, is a 38 foot, motor catamaran, powered by two Mercury 150hp outboards. She will accommodate between 1 to 8 anglers in style and comfort. She has a range of over 200 miles and being a twin-hull boat, has excellent stability along with a smooth ride in all but the roughest conditions. With a beam of about 14 feet, side-mounted outriggers, and rod holders strategically placed around the deck, we are able to run max 4 lines at once to maximize our chances for a hit while trawling. There is ample space to spread out when bottom- or drift-fishing and avoid fowling lines when the action heats up.

At the helm, Blu Bi U features a range of modern electronics and equipment to ensure your comfort and safety. We use a Simrad GPS and Fishfinder hooked up to a Maretron GPS antenna and an Airmar 1KW transducer which allows us to view bottom features down to a range of 3,000 feet. We also sport a state-of-the-art music and entertainment system to keep you rocking in between the fishing action. Feel free to bring your own tunes!

Your St Maarten Fishing Charter

Our St Maarten Deep Sea Fishing Charter is available on any day of the week (subject to weather and availability). We generally depart from our Marina in Cole Bay but other departure points can be arranged. Departure time is 8 a.m. sharp, we return to our Marina at around 3:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Every charter includes a fully stocked, open bar with local beers, water, sodas, and free-flowing mixed drinks. (We do prefer you keep the hard liquor in hand until we start heading back to port!) Lunch can also be provided – special dietary requirements can be accommodated on request. If you would like to finish the day with a swim or snorkel before heading back to port, this can be arranged.

Please note that even though we can take 8 guests the maximum number of lines we can legally have in the water at any one time is 4.
