Villa Ambiance St Martin. As soon as you get a glimpse of Villa Ambiance in the Terres Basses area of St. Martin, you will understand why it is one of the most frequently sought out properties in the region. Like an island adrift in the sea and sky, it is a remarkable example of world-class design and architecture. Set on a hillside overlooking the sea, the property is surrounded by a sweeping and open landscape. Open walls and covered porticos give the immediate sense of a classical structure more than a villa, and yet the property is packed with amenities.

Four large and luxurious en suite bathrooms are like private getaways. Opening to the surrounding terrace, they have views, and three of them feature outdoor showers too. The terrace leads to the swimming pool area, but this is not the heart of the home. There are actually many spots where you will enjoy water, lounges, and spots to relax in private or with a group.

The use of the many covered porticos allows the open floor plan in the shared living spaces to provide constant access to the surrounding scenery, the sea breezes, and the many amazing sights. A large, gourmet kitchen leads to a dining area on the terrace as well as a more formal spot indoors. An enormous living room opens to a covered lounge, and this leads to the pool area. Furnishings in all rooms are clean, contemporary, and inspired.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Plan your dream destination wedding or special Caribbean event. The villa is available for wedding receptions and special events.   

Maximum guests:

Maximum guests for cocktail event: 150 guests
Maximum guests for a seated dinner event: 80 guests

Rental rates:
The villa requires a one week mininum rental of the villa at the regular rental rates. The event fee is an additional fee required to hold an event at the villa.

Event fee with 20 to 60 guests: $1000
Event fee with 61 to 100 guests: $2000
Event fee with over 100 guests: $3000

Refundable security deposit: $5000

Terms and conditions:
The villa does not allow unregistered guests to stay overnight. Overnight guests are restricted to the 2 guests per rented bedroom and must be declared. Guests are responsible for set-up and clean up of the event. The event may not occur within 24 hours of departure. For example, with a Saturday departure guests must hold the event on Thursday or sooner. Guests must abide to local ordinances.

Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Once a reservation request is received, St Martin Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.

Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.

A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.
What is the cancellation policy? click to open
Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.
What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, St Martin Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.
Do you accept credit cards (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa)? click to open
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.
In late 2018, we expect to accept a greater variety of payment methods and currencies via Stripe.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.

A hair dryer is typically available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.

Ambiance was a beautifully situated home. The living space was very comfortable for 8 guests. The bedrooms were spacious as well as the en suites. The living area was air conditioned and very comfortable. The outdoor area was great. My only complaint was that the pool was not heated and they need to upgrade the outdoor beverage glasses.

After looking at the pictures and reading the description of the Ambiance, everyone in our group had very high expectations about the villa. Well, the Ambiance greatly exceeded our expectations. It was one of the nicest places any one in the group has ever vacationed. the Ambiance is spacious, furnished with top-notch furniture and appointments, and sits on 2 acres of prime real estate overlooking the water. The infinity pool is to die for.

First impressions matter most when it comes to luxury vacations and Villa Ambiance located in the heart of Terres Basses, St Martin delivered. Villa Ambiance was planned exceptionally well to astonish the senses as you pass the gated entry of the villa. The tropical flower gardens gently welcome you as our driver gently drove up the cobbled driveway. Readily apparent was the villa’s contemporary and inspired architecture that yields a welcoming palate. Clean, sharp lines with accent colors. The large plot commanded roughly 2 acres of level terrain that maximized views of the Caribbean but allows guests to enjoy a foot ball catch or a gentle walk around the grounds.

Upon entry into Villa Ambiance, a sense of ease and welcome quickly ensues. The entry leads to the open dining and living area of the villa. Vast and spacious but comforting and serene. The dining table easily accommodates up to ten people while the living room gently invites guests to sit back on the supple leather couches to enjoy a state of the art entertainment center with wall mounted Flat screen TV and surround sound.

The over sized kitchen delighted our group of pseudo gourmets with a large island, gas stove and oven, two refrigerators and extensive cabinetry. The kitchen was well supplied with dinnerware, flatware and utensils. Adjoining the kitchen is a separate bar area specifically designed to entice and reward the entertaining set. "Villa was fantastic! Very private and perfect for a couple (and the second bedroom was very spacious, even though we weren't traveling with anyone).
