Villa Fields of Ambrosia St Martin.  The recently refurbished villa Fields of Ambrosia offers everything you need for an ideal tropical vacation. The setting is a hill overlooking Simpson Lagoon and the rolling mountains of St. Martin. Gazing out over Simpson lagoon and the lush tropical growth, visitors will be able to enjoy the kind of scenery, sea breezes, and sunrises that make for an unforgettable experience.

The villa itself is stocked with tantalizing amenities. There is the lovely and elegant infinity edge swimming pool and cool water whirlpool that serve as the heart of the property. Around them you discover a lovely sundeck with lounge spaces, and then the covered terrace. This offers a host of comfortable spaces from which to take in the view or relax in premium comfort. An al fresco dining spot, several ample lounges, and a breakfast bar leading directly into the kitchen ensure you don't miss one moment of the scenery or experience.

Absolutely beautiful villa! Privacy, security, serenity and luxury. This villa was quick and easy to get to from the airport. My husband and I were greeted and transported to the villa upon arrival. Once at Fields of Ambrosia, we were met by our concierge and given a brief but informative tour. Shortly thereafter, our rental car was delivered to the premises. We also ordered provisions ahead of time so some basics were already stocked upon arrival. The staff was on hand virtually to assist with whatever we needed. We also took advantage of the chef services and had a lovely anniversary dinner prepared which was notably delicious. Everything was wonderful and nothing short of amazing! The pool, the view, the bed, the shower, the amenities, the services . . . I did not want to leave this slice of paradise!

Everything from start to finish was extraordinary. I highly recommend St Martin Blue to anyone considering a trip to St. Martin. It was wonderful to know anything I needed would be handled in a prompt and informative manner. Additionally, there were no surprises along the way! The villa and services were perfect in every way. Thank you to St Martin Blue for supplying us with a wonderful experience!

Our group of 6 booked Fields of Ambrosia villa for the first time. My wife and I have had other villas booked through St Martin Blue before and liked the service. The booking was easy without any problems - I love how their booking website works. We also booked our second car without problems. We all flew from Miami on the same flight and got picked up by the transportation services as soon as we got out of airport and were at the villa in short 10 min ride. The rental cars were already there (one is complimentary for staying more than 7 nights). The villa's housekeepers Clair and John were there to great us, but no consierg was there. The views that facing the lagoon were unbeatable, if you come to stay there, bring binoculars - lot to see! There was few things that can be improved, the pool does not have heated water in Jacuzzi, and in December we wished it was warm. There was no grill due to wind, that created fire hazard in the past, we were told. The pluses outwaight few negative things. Villa is very close to 3 most beautiful beaches: Baue Rouge, Plumb Bay, and Porto Cupecoy (10 min walk) with grossery store, restaurants and shops. Be prepared to see some toples and sometime nude swimmers. Close to Bauer Rouge there is a gass station and grossery store Cadismarket where you can find great Franch products and fruits, vine, beer, and much more. They take credit cards and prices are in Euros. The fresh fruits and vine were our favorite. It's a great store for the first day here. On the second day you can hit big grossery store on the Dutch side, Carrefour located across the long bridge. Back to the villa - The villa is looking over the lagoon and protected from direct wind from the ocean though has planty of breeze to have no problems with mosquitos. Having the villa facing lagun was great during the day and night, unlike other villas facing open ocean but useless at night since you can't see anything. So definitely a great plus to this one. The villa has 3 buildings: main with kitchen, leaving, dining, and 1st badroom w/very good king bad and nice shower. The other two buildings, adjacent to the main one, hold another two badrooms - one with two double bad and another with king bad and balkony. Hudge swimming pool on the dack overseas the lagoon, but be aware of very slippery tiles when wet. Nice patio with great sitting and dining areas, large open kitchen with all you might need (needs few big tea cups), no outside shower thought. Large parking are and many more nice little things that make this villa a jewel. Attached is our 10 days itinerary - enjoy. Daily planning - [ ] Day 1 Wednesday 12/1 - arrival, settle at the villa, swim at baie rouge beach, small grocery store by Marigot, dinner, walk to Porto Cupecoy - [ ] Day 2, Thursday 12/2- breakfast at the villa, plum bay beach snorkel, change for lunch at Zee Best restaurant, stop at French-bakery coffee shop by carousel grossers shopping at big store, back to villa, relax/ swing at villa or beach before dinner - [ ] Day 3 Friday 12/3- breakfast at villa then plumb bay snorkeling, Lunch at Sunset cafe optional checkout views at Ance Marsel beach/resort or Orient beach , Fort St Louis back to villa - [ ] Day 4 Saturday 12/4- fish market, hiking zip line at Lottery Farm/Peak Paradise, then could go to get pizza Papadan and or back to villa, after lunch go to Maho bay shopping and watch planes landing grocery store there, dinner at villa - [ ] Day 5 Sunday 12/5- trip around the island, lunch at Rancho Del Sol, stop at Rotary Lookout point, Parrot Villa, Rainforest Adventure zip line , Fort Amsterdam and Little Bay Beach, shopping at Philisburg, boardwalk by the Great Bay beach dinner - [ ] Day 6 Monday 12/6-Pinel island (west side for calm, shallow waters and the best snorkeling, as well as the Pinel Island Marine Trail. This underwater snorkeling route is marked with buoys, making it an excellent option for beginners. I must say that this trip and our experience in Villa Fields of Ambrosia was absolutely fantastic.
Your service from my initial email was first class - outstanding.
There are many stresses when trying to arrange a relaxing vacation and you and your team eliminated all of those stresses.
From the moment we walked into the villa we were greeted by a warm breeze, a stunning view and Camille who provided a thorough, friendly orientation of the villa.
Our fridge was stocked with all of the items we had asked for as well as a the generous welcome basket.
During our stay, Jean and Claire were wonderful. Although we had never met them before, we felt like we had known them our whole life and that they were old friends that we had not seen in some time. lol
This was my wife’s 50th birthday present and I wanted it to be special, and our experience truly exceeded our expectations.

We will certainly be renting a villa again from St Martin Blue.

We had a fabulous time celebrating Thanksgiving and my husbands birthday at fields of Ambrosia. Claire and John the caretakers are sweethearts and very helpful. The view never ceases to stun and amaze me, it is gorgeous! The food and beaches on the island are absolutely amazing. Spent some time in Grand Case had some delicious gourmet meals at Oceans 82. We had scheduled a private catamaran as we had such a great time doing that on our last visit, however, it rained heavily and we had to cancel. It was pretty disappointing. But you can't control Mother Nature. We did do a jet ski tour which was fun, but nothing like the previous year on the private charter of the golden eagle catamaran trip.

I only have one complaint, the mosquitos were terrible in November, when we visited in June the island was more dry and the mosquitos weren't bad at all.

My family and I have stayed in many different villas in St. Martin - Fields of Ambrosia is our favorite, The breeze makes your stay cool and almost mosquito free. The beds are very comfortable as well as the whole house - extremely cozy. One of the best part was the caretaker and his lovely wife Clair and John. They were the nicest people in St. Martin. We will definitely come back to Fields or Ambrosia in the near Future.

My husband and I stayed this February for our first trip to St. Martin. Stepping through the front doors, greeted by the property rep and John, our favorite caretaker, the warm breeze and stunning view we knew we were in for a real treat. The entire trip was so relaxing. I made a point to wake up early to watch the incredible sunrises over the infinity pool. A special thanks to John and Claire for their attention and great conversation. We have made new friends. We wanted for nothing and look forward to our return.

The view from this villa is the best I have ever enjoyed from I house I rented in the Carib. It is elevated above the lagoon in the cliffs so you always get a nice breeze to keep cool. Daytime views are of the water and mountains. However, what is most unusual is the fact that when the sun goes down, you get to see the city lights of French side of the island. The main living area opens out to the large outdoor patio with a pool. So, whether you are inside or outside you have the feel of being outside. The kitchen appears to have been recently refurbished with new counter tops and appliances. That worked quite well for our stay and we had two chefs who used the kitchen comfortably as well. It sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 bedrooms (two of which are detached from the house and have their own entrances for privacy). All the a/c's worked great the entire stay and kept the bedrooms comfortably cool. However, this is a bit of a tale of two houses. We were a bit disappointed in the finish of the bathrooms in each of the 3 bedrooms as well as the linens. The bathrooms are in need of updating and for the price (Christmas week premium) we felt they were below expectations. The bath towels had holes and the stuffing in a bed pillow was coming out. Additionally, much of the outdoor area needed some maintenance (paint, etc.). The onsite staff (John and Claire) were helpful and friendly. All in all this was a villa with a great view, centrally located, and nice main living areas. I would recommend it provided you knew what you were getting with the bathrooms and linens.

The villa was impeccably maintained by the caretakers, John and Claire, who were just lovely to talk to. They were so accommodating and helpful. The villa has a spectacular view of the Simpson Bay Lagoon- it beautiful both during the day and at night. The outdoor spaces are so comfortable. The water pressure in one of the bathrooms was not great but it in no way would make me want to stay anywhere else. We hope to return next year.

The jaccuzzi does not heat and the pool is not heated. Because of the wind (being on the peak of the hill) it is too chilly to get in the pool. We were disappointed because we thought there was a hot tub and its just part of the pool. Otherwise, it is very nice! Good location between dutch and french side.

Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. St. Martin Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, St. Martin Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.

Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, St. Martin Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Staff section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.

Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.

A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.

Due to COVID, I had to change my reservation several times. They handled my requests very flexibly and on my behalf of mine. There is a local representative on the island who welcomes you on the first day and explains to you the most important things. In our case, it was Cheyenne, also a very professional and polite person. When we arrived at the villa, everything was perfectly well prepared and organized.
