Villa Fields of Ambrosia St Martin.  The recently refurbished villa Fields of Ambrosia offers everything you need for an ideal tropical vacation. The setting is a hill overlooking Simpson Lagoon and the rolling mountains of St. Martin. Gazing out over Simpson lagoon and the lush tropical growth, visitors will be able to enjoy the kind of scenery, sea breezes, and sunrises that make for an unforgettable experience.

The villa itself is stocked with tantalizing amenities. There is the lovely and elegant infinity edge swimming pool and cool water whirlpool that serve as the heart of the property. Around them you discover a lovely sundeck with lounge spaces, and then the covered terrace. This offers a host of comfortable spaces from which to take in the view or relax in premium comfort. An al fresco dining spot, several ample lounges, and a breakfast bar leading directly into the kitchen ensure you don't miss one moment of the scenery or experience.

Indoors, visitors can enjoy the great room that features a formal dining area, living room, and the full gourmet kitchen. High ceilings, a pale palette, and classic furnishings ensure that everyone will have a favorite spot to dine, relax and enjoy the company.

The villa offers three bedrooms, each with a full en suite bathroom. One is accessed from the interior of the property while the others are accessed via the terrace.

The location of this charming villa ensures plenty of views, but it is also adjacent to many of the top beaches. As part of the private Terres Basses community it puts guests near numerous pristine beaches and within easy reach of the all new Porto Cupecoy shopping and dining facility.

The standard terms and conditions apply except in situations with a verified COVID impact. With a verified COVID claim, the cancellation policy is amended as follows:

-A full refund minus a $300 administrative fee is offered for cancellations greater than 30 days prior to arrival.

-For cancellations within 30 days, no refunds will be provided. However, the option for a postponement credit will be offered and to be used by January 1, 2022 . 

Conditions that meet the COVID Cancellation policy include the following conditions: COVID travel bans, border closures, quarantine requirement, or a recent positive test result within the traveling party.  Supporting documents may be required. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.
Are we protected from fraud? click to open
Yes. St. Martin Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, St. Martin Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.
What is the cancellation policy? click to open
Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, St. Martin Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.
In the near future, we expect to accept a greater variety of payment methods and currencies via Stripe.
Is housekeeping included? click to open
Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Policies section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.
Are towels and linens provided? click to open
Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.
Are toiletries and tissues provided? click to open
A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
Is a hair dryer available? click to open
A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.
Is an iron included? click to open
Typically yes, irons tend to be standard equipment for vacation homes. Please ask the property representative upon orientation for the location of the iron.

This villa offers VIP in-villa testing: 
 - Test must be done at least 24 hours before departure to get results in time
 - Passport for each person undergoing the test must be provided 24 hours prior testing
 - Cost: US$150 per test + US$100 (one time fee) for the commute of the Doctor 
 - The results will be sent to the property manager who will provide it to their guests prior to their departure
 - Please arrange testing well in advance to ensure an appointment.

The villa requires a one week minimum rental of the villa at the regular rental rates. The event fee is an additional fee required to hold an event at the villa.

Terms and conditions:
The villa does not allow unregistered guests to stay overnight. Overnight guests are restricted to the 2 guests per rented bedroom and must be declared. Guests are responsible for set-up and clean up of the event. Special promotion or discount cannot be applied! Check-in day cannot be on the event day & Check-out day cannot be the day right after the event. The event fee is charged per event (one day event). The event may not occur within 24 hours of departure. For example, with a Saturday departure guests must hold the event on Thursday or sooner. Guests must abide to local ordinances. Any catering company/private chef and wedding planner must be approved by the TPI to organize any event on our properties

PROMOTIONS

  • Rent a villa for 7 nights or more with a minimum weekly rate of $4000 and receive a complimentary rental car.

    A Hyundai I10 is provided. Complimentary vehicle delivery to the villa is included. 

    Gas, taxes and insurance are excluded. Guest is responsible for returning the car to the airport office of the rental car company at the end of the stay.

    Rental car can be upgraded for an additional charge.

I must say that this trip and our experience in Villa Fields of Ambrosia was absolutely fantastic.
Your service from my initial email was first class - outstanding.
There are many stresses when trying to arrange a relaxing vacation and you and your team eliminated all of those stresses.
From the moment we walked into the villa we were greeted by a warm breeze, a stunning view and Camille who provided a thorough, friendly orientation of the villa.
Our fridge was stocked with all of the items we had asked for as well as a the generous welcome basket.
During our stay, Jean and Claire were wonderful. Although we had never met them before, we felt like we had known them our whole life and that they were old friends that we had not seen in some time. lol
This was my wife’s 50th birthday present and I wanted it to be special, and our experience truly exceeded our expectations.

We will certainly be renting a villa again from St Martin Blue.

We had a fabulous time celebrating Thanksgiving and my husbands birthday at fields of Ambrosia. Claire and John the caretakers are sweethearts and very helpful. The view never ceases to stun and amaze me, it is gorgeous! The food and beaches on the island are absolutely amazing. Spent some time in Grand Case had some delicious gourmet meals at Oceans 82. We had scheduled a private catamaran as we had such a great time doing that on our last visit, however, it rained heavily and we had to cancel. It was pretty disappointing. But you can't control Mother Nature. We did do a jet ski tour which was fun, but nothing like the previous year on the private charter of the golden eagle catamaran trip.

I only have one complaint, the mosquitos were terrible in November, when we visited in June the island was more dry and the mosquitos weren't bad at all.

My family and I have stayed in many different villas in St. Martin - Fields of Ambrosia is our favorite, The breeze makes your stay cool and almost mosquito free. The beds are very comfortable as well as the whole house - extremely cozy. One of the best part was the caretaker and his lovely wife Clair and John. They were the nicest people in St. Martin. We will definitely come back to Fields or Ambrosia in the near Future.

My husband and I stayed this February for our first trip to St. Martin. Stepping through the front doors, greeted by the property rep and John, our favorite caretaker, the warm breeze and stunning view we knew we were in for a real treat. The entire trip was so relaxing. I made a point to wake up early to watch the incredible sunrises over the infinity pool. A special thanks to John and Claire for their attention and great conversation. We have made new friends. We wanted for nothing and look forward to our return.

The view from this villa is the best I have ever enjoyed from I house I rented in the Carib. It is elevated above the lagoon in the cliffs so you always get a nice breeze to keep cool. Daytime views are of the water and mountains. However, what is most unusual is the fact that when the sun goes down, you get to see the city lights of French side of the island. The main living area opens out to the large outdoor patio with a pool. So, whether you are inside or outside you have the feel of being outside. The kitchen appears to have been recently refurbished with new counter tops and appliances. That worked quite well for our stay and we had two chefs who used the kitchen comfortably as well. It sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 bedrooms (two of which are detached from the house and have their own entrances for privacy). All the a/c's worked great the entire stay and kept the bedrooms comfortably cool. However, this is a bit of a tale of two houses. We were a bit disappointed in the finish of the bathrooms in each of the 3 bedrooms as well as the linens. The bathrooms are in need of updating and for the price (Christmas week premium) we felt they were below expectations. The bath towels had holes and the stuffing in a bed pillow was coming out. Additionally, much of the outdoor area needed some maintenance (paint, etc.). The onsite staff (John and Claire) were helpful and friendly. All in all this was a villa with a great view, centrally located, and nice main living areas. I would recommend it provided you knew what you were getting with the bathrooms and linens.

The villa was impeccably maintained by the caretakers, John and Claire, who were just lovely to talk to. They were so accommodating and helpful. The villa has a spectacular view of the Simpson Bay Lagoon- it beautiful both during the day and at night. The outdoor spaces are so comfortable. The water pressure in one of the bathrooms was not great but it in no way would make me want to stay anywhere else. We hope to return next year.

The jaccuzzi does not heat and the pool is not heated. Because of the wind (being on the peak of the hill) it is too chilly to get in the pool. We were disappointed because we thought there was a hot tub and its just part of the pool. Otherwise, it is very nice! Good location between dutch and french side.

The staff was awesome. Starting with the concierge in the US (Mary), to the local concierge (Medhi), housekeeping, drivers, Fabulous Feast personnel ( chef Tomas and waitress Charlotte). Just can’t say enough.

Restaurant Recommendations: Bistrot Caribes was awesome. Others like Ocean 82, Rainbow Cafe were also great.
Activity Recommendations: Xisle boat charters was great. Fabulous Feast are incredible

Nid D'amour was magnificent. House is updated, clean, comfortable, and the view is spectacular. Pool was warm (important for my husband), beds INCREDIBLY comfy, kitchen stocked. (they could update their music situation which is circa 1980, but not listening to our own music was eclipsed by views and other house comforts) As great as the house is, the real bonus of this property was the concierge, Axel, and house keeper, Paula. The two took care of our every need and curiosity and were available to us 24/7. No matter how beautiful a spot is, it's the people who truly make a vacation. They were 5 full stars.

Isle Blue could not have been easier to work with. Planning a last minute vacation and they were very accommodating on money transfers and everything. Wonderful.
