Villa Amethyst, St Martin.   Villa Amethyst is located on prestigious St Martin. Just steps away from the waterfront, this is a highly private and charming cliffside estate on Terres Basses.  Amethyst showcases some lovely northerly views of the shimmering turquoise ocean and the beautiful curve of the St Martin coastline.

Moments away from some snorkeling, this villa has two buildings. The main building is one level and features the living, dining and kitchen area as well as a covered terrace that flows to the pool and off to the left is a two-story building with five spacious bedrooms. Every single bedroom showcases some amazing en-suite bathrooms complete with showers, air conditioning and some ceiling fans that give off the ultimate tropical vibe.

Surrounded by luscious tropical gardens, this luxurious St Martin villa offers a secluded hideaway for nature lovers and is located less than a minute away from the Baie Rouge Beach, this is the perfect place for a Caribbean dream.

To those who are accustomed to 4.5 - 5-star accommodations, this is not the place for you! We traveled with 2 couples and 3 teenagers. There is a small living room and Kitchen in one building, and In the motel-like building, there are 4 bedrooms. It is set up like a motel with individual rooms with individual keys and door locks. An upstairs larger room claimed to be a master suite, but there was a built-in, no closet, and no area to hang clothing. The mosquito screen didn't fully shut, so mosquitos bit one of our teenagers all night. The other similar "master-suite-like room" ("Citrine") had a brown mirror above the sinks in the bathroom, which made it impossible to put on make-up or know what you looked like walking out of the room; there was also no more than 5 minute of hot water in that shower. The other two rooms in the "motel" were small, and only one had windows. They were both very dark. The updated bathroom was in the room with small windows. It was updated with modern tiles and a new shower. However, the shower was not built properly and did not have a door, so the entire bathroom was filled with water every time anyone showered. It was a mess! Each room had its own key and was regularly locked out when the housekeeper left daily. The 5th bedroom was annexed below the house with an entrance outside the front door. None of the bathrooms or closets had air conditioning, so to keep the rooms cooled, the hurricane shutters needed to remain closed during the day - eliminating ocean views. The house has virtually no shared space in the air conditioning. The small living room is stark, with way too many substantial black Amethyst rocks split in two to reveal the amethyst inside. The kitchen is long and narrow and the kitchen table is too right to comfortably sit around. The mosquito system didn't work outside, we lost power multiple times, and the water completely shut off for different reasons multiple times. The view is of an odd area of the ocean. I recommend a house overlooking or on a beach for those who prefer enjoying an ocean view. I would not stay at this house again.

My family just returned from a week in St. Martin, and Isle Blue was nothing short of exceptional, from initial questions about which property would best fit our needs to helping us with pre-provisioning and car rental. Great advice, and great communication. From day one through departure.
This villa was exceptional for the week-long vacation we just ended with our family of 9. The property is stunning, and the rooms were clean and spacious. We lacked no amenities -- we had beach bags and umbrellas in every room, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we even found a first aid kit when we needed a small bandaid.

We stayed at the "Mas Des Sables" for a week and loved every second of our stay. The Villa was absolutely stunning and the pictures did not to it justice. When we arrived the doors and windows were all open and the breeze coming in off the ocean was amazing. We had grandiose plans to dine out, but with the fully stocked chefs kitchen we ended up staying in more that expected. The Caretaker Philippe was amazing and checked in on us daily. Having lived on the Island for 18+ years, his recommendations and suggestions were invaluable to us. We were even greeted one morning to fresh "Sugar Bananas" that where just picked from one of the trees in the garden - such a treat! The rooms were spacious and each fitted with Smart TV's, however we didn't turn them on once - the View was our TV! We ventured down to the beach one day accessing it via the properties secured gate - and we were immediately on the beach. The photos truly do not show how private and remote "Mas des Sables" is - there is not a neighbour to be seen or heard and for us, this was BLISS! Security and Privacy were two features we weren't really looking for, but were so grateful to have - The villa is at the end of a gated laneway and has itself it's own privacy gates. The Villa was fully equipped with both pool and beach towels, and even a picnic basket for day trips. We cannot wait to come back to St. Martin and stay at "Mas des Sables" and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a break.

Terrific family destination for R&R! The villa is beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and private. We enjoy the layout of the villa and its many outdoor sitting areas. The villa sits high on a hill and as such the views from the terraces are supremely divine: Anguilla in the far horizon, clear blue sky, expansive ocean, sailboats, yachts, and Marigot bay. The views at night are equally captivating and magical. Villa manager was most gracious in helping us to navigate the island, find gourmet restaurants and locate the best beaches. He was very discrete, attentive, professional and welcoming. We highly recommend this amazing villa!

Isle Blue is efficient, thorough and timely with our inquiries. Delightful to work with the team and would definitely work with them again!

Our family spent an amazing week at this beautiful villa. We have been to the island before but this was by far the best place we have ever stayed at! The views and breeze were awesome and the caretaker, Philippe was the best! He made sure everything was taken care of for our family. We are already planning our next trip and plan to stay at Le Mas des Sables again!

The pictures don't quite do it justice. The views are breathtaking. The location is very convenient. The open air main kitchen bar and dining area was fantastic. We slept every night with just the screen doors closed so we could enjoy the breeze and sounds of the ocean. Never turned the A/C on. Philippe the caretaker and Anise the housekeeper were great. Very accommodating. We can't wait to go back.

We are really enjoying our stay, the villa is very quiet and private. I have rented 5 or 6 different villas at different locations here in St-Martin and this one is the best for several reasons. Close to everything, quiet, private...and so beautiful view on the ocean. Also Philippe the caretaker is very discreet and efficient.

Villa was spectacular. Location was perfect, set up was designed well to provide an amazing stay. I'd argue that if there was one slight downside it would be the air conditioning in the rooms - it's not very good at keeping up with the heat in July, and leaving the balcony doors open doesn't allow for the breeze to go through the bedroom (because there is no window on the back of the bedroom for the air to flow through). But this is a very, very minor discomfort because the villa is just outstanding.
Service from Mary Patti (St Martin Blue concierge) was first class. She always responded to any question I had in a timely manner and with the utmost professionalism.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. St. Martin Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, St. Martin Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, St. Martin Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Staff section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.

Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.

A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
